This course is designed to provide industry professionals an understanding of the requirements and challenges in relation to ballast water management.
The objectives of the course is to enable the participant to be familiar with the ballast water management method and the requirements of the International Convention for the Control and Management of ships' Ballast Water and sediments. Furthermore the participant will obtain knowledge to minimize environmental damage caused by the transfer of ballast water.
There are no prerequisites for this Course
This course is of value to both shore-based personnel and ships officers working directly with the Ballast Water Management systems.
